A hidden jewel in the middle of nowhere. The German food was fresh and delicious, the pastries were sublime. In my opinion they are the best German restaurant in Central Texas

Probably one of the best kept secrets in Kempner, TX. Good German food, but they also serve pizza. The only problem that l had, and l hate to fault them to this, is that the gentlemen working there were trying too hard to please the customers. This caused some delays and mix ups that they quickly resolved. I also got some nice pastries there.
This is a favorite restaurant for our family. The food is good. The ice tea is good. The ambiance is warm and cozy. And the bakery is AHHHHMAZING! My only complaint is that the cook shouldn't tamper with traditional spaetzel... it is not served and should not be served with garlic butter sauce (blech!).
